Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Houston, TX is seeking a QA Inspector (Warehouse) on a temporary first shift to ensure products meet visual and dimensional specifications.

You will inspect parts, review IPC sheets, report non-conformances, and collaborate with Quality and Production to uphold quality in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting. 18+ required; bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• At least 12 months in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check parts for visual and dimensional defects in all production departments.
• Check in process inspection paperwork / IPC sheets.
• Communicates potential discrepancies and writes up non-conformance reports if necessary.
• Report all issues to department leads and supervisors.
• Work with Quality and Production team members to resolve quality concerns.
• Other duties as required by supervisor.

# QA Inspector (Warehouse) - Temp**TEMPORARY POSITION*** 1st Shift (6:00 A - 2:30 P)* Monday thru Friday* Potential for full-time hire with benefits* Must be at least 18 years old**Job Summary**This position is responsible for ensuring all products produced meet the customer’s visual and dimensional requirements.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities*** Check parts for visual and dimensional defects in all production departments.50%* Check in process inspection paperwork / IPC sheets. 5%* Communicates potential discrepancies and process control problems and writes up non-conformance reports if necessary. 5%* Report all issues to department leads and supervisors.5%* Works with other Quality department employees, production employees (Operators, Leads and Technicians) and production Supervisors.10%**ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Other duties as required by supervisor.25%**Education and Experience Profile*** High School diploma or equivalent.* Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.**Required Skills****Technical/Functional Competencies:*** Previous experience in a manufacturing operation desirable. Minimum 12 months’ experience preferred.* Must be able to instruct operators how to use all functional gages.* Must be able to read and understand measuring devices (i.e., measuring tape, square, etc.)* Prior experience with hand tools is desired.* Must have thorough verbal and written communication skills to accurately describe quality conditions.* Must be organized and able to operate with some degree of independence.* Able to read and interpret blueprints/work instructions.**Leadership/Cultural Competencies:*** Positive attitude, willingness to cooperate with others.* Must be able to work individually or as part of a team.**Work Environment*** Working conditions are normal for a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.* Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, pulling, reaching, and stooping.* Must observe and adhere to all safety rules and practices, including PPE requirements.* Work boots and long pants are a requirement of this position.The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job/classification.
