Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB in Houston, TX, is seeking a Production Worker for the Paint Line on a temporary basis. 2nd shift is 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for full-time hire with benefits.

The role involves operating or assisting with production machinery, quality verification, and handling materials. You will assist others, maintain equipment, and document production data in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or industrial experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read measurement tools.
• Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Observe equipment operations so malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
• Mark or tag identification on parts.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, cleaning work areas and equipment, and cleaning of doors and frame components.
• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Record information such as the number of products inspected, and dates and times of product production.
• Other assigned tasks at direction of Supervision.
