We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Planner to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. This position plays a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that all aspects of production are meticulously planned and executed. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong understanding of manufacturing plans, blueprints and inventory management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with over five years of experience in planning to contribute to a leading engineering firm and drive our production process forward.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed manufacturing plans and schedules to meet production goals.
  • Utilize planning tools to optimize the use of resources and ensure the timely delivery of products.
  • Review and interpret engineering blueprints to understand product specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for each project, detailing the parts and components required for production.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and manpower as per the production schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement processes when necessary to avoid stockouts and production delays.
  • Analyze and resolve any issues that may impact the production schedule, such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement continuous improvement initiatives and optimize production processes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production progress, inventory status, and any deviations from the plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a planner in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in using planning tools and software.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing plans, blueprints, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
