Team and Role

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, Security, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. Your work will directly impact space exploration safety and success.

Shift Options
  • A Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5am-3:30pm
  • B Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1:30am
  • C Shift: Friday-Sunday, 5am-5pm
  • D Shift: Friday-Sunday, 4pm-4am (Flexible)
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily part inspections using micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs.
  • Utilize Verisurf and Modus software for inspection equipment like Absolute Arm, Revo CMM, and Leica Tracker.
  • Oversee final product quality inspection, identify ongoing quality issues, and suggest improvements.
  • Inspect purchased parts, materials, and components upon receipt, determining inspection methods and procedures.
  • Coordinate communication with stakeholders and conduct meetings to address inspection issues.
  • Apply knowledge of nonconformance processes.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of dimensional inspection experience.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME standards.
  • Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high-value components.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with good project prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster inclusive relationships.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylum status).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Revo CMM, Absolute Arm, Faro Arm, Laser Tracker, and 3D scanning software.
  • Basic machining knowledge, aerospace inspection experience, CAD skills.
  • Ability to operate heavy lifting equipment safely around flight hardware.
Compensation

Range for WA applicants: $32.86 - $46.01 per hour. Other sites may vary.
