We design technologies that enable advanced manufacturing.Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Inspection Supervisor to lead an inspection team responsible for both receiving inspection and final inspection. The team verifies incoming components, materials, and assemblies and confirms that completed products meet applicable requirements before they enter finished goods inventory. This role will organize daily priorities, maintain efficient inspection flow, and establish consistent processes that support production needs while protecting quality. The supervisor will partner closely with the Quality Manager, Production Planning, Quality Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, coach, and develop all inspection personnel with responsibility for staffing, work assignments, performance expectations, and daily execution across receiving and final inspection.Oversee receiving inspection of incoming mechanical and electronic parts against drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and approved procedures.Oversee final inspection of completed products to verify conformance to applicable requirements before release into finished goods inventory.Ensure inspectors consistently apply approved sampling plans, measurement methods, acceptance criteria, documentation, and traceability requirements.Work directly with the Senior Manager of Quality to implement new inspection processes and improve existing workflows, controls, and methods.Develop and maintain work instructions and procedures that accurately reflect inspection activities, responsibilities, and requirements performed on the job.Partner with Production Planning to establish, communicate, and maintain inspection priorities that support production schedules and finished goods availability.Define, track, and report inspection KPIs to the Quality Manager, including backlog, turnaround time, throughput, first-pass acceptance, and defect trends.Identify and raise recurring component, supplier, and product defect trends to Quality Engineering and Procurement to support containment, supplier corrective action, and sustained improvement.Ensure nonconforming material is properly identified and documented, coordinate disposition and follow-up with relevant functions, maintain accurate inspection records, and support audits and corrective actions.Qualifications5+ years of quality inspection experience in an electronics, electromechanical, or precision manufacturing environment, including receiving and/or final inspection.At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience assigning work, coordinating priorities, coaching employees, and managing inspection workflow.Demonstrated ability to develop and improve inspection processes and translate shop-floor practices into clear work instructions and procedures.Experience defining operational KPIs, analyzing defect trends, and communicating priorities and escalations across Quality Engineering, Procurement, Production Planning, and Operations.Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria; familiarity with GD&T is preferred.Hands-on proficiency with common measurement equipment and inspection records.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; able to balance delivery needs with quality requirements.Experience with ERP or quality management systems and supplier nonconformance processes preferred.Our Total Rewards PhilosophyWe believe rewarding employees extends beyond base compensation.
