Job summary

NIF is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of a desktop WPF application. The role blends manual and automated testing, plus contributing to better documentation and QA processes.

You will design test cases, automate tests, review documentation, and help improve QA workflows while collaborating with developers and product managers to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Quality Assurance, with hands-on experience testing desktop applications, preferably in a WPF environment.
• Automation Skills: Proficiency with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or similar tools, focusing on UI and functional test automation.
• Documentation Expertise: A keen eye for detail and experience improving the quality of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and usability.
• Process-Oriented: Familiarity with QA best practices, Agile workflows, and experience refining QA processes for better outcomes.
• Technical Skills: Ability to write and maintain scripts in languages such as C# for test automation and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand the System: Analyze and test the current platform to build understanding of workflows and features.
• Test Design and Execution: Develop detailed test cases and plans for manual and automated testing.
• Automate Testing: Create and maintain automated test scripts for UI and functional tests.
• Documentation Review: Ensure testing, development, and operational docs meet high-quality standards.
• Process Improvement: Help establish and refine QA processes for efficiency and reliability.
• Defect Tracking and Resolution: Document, prioritize, and track bugs and work with developers to resolve.
• Performance and Reliability Testing: Conduct tests to ensure scalability under various workloads.
• Support Quality Standards: Advocate for high standards in coding, testing, and docs throughout development.
