We’re looking for a Mid‑Level Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality, reliability, and consistency of our desktop application, built on a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) stack. This role involves a blend of manual and automated testing, along with contributing to improving documentation and quality processes, ensuring a seamless development and testing lifecycle.
Understand the System: Begin by analyzing and testing the current platform to build a strong understanding of its workflows, functionalities, and technical details.
Test Design and Execution: Develop detailed and reusable test cases and plans for manual and automated testing to validate functional, regression, and performance scenarios.
Automate Testing: Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools compatible with WPF applications, focusing on increasing test coverage and reducing manual effort.
Documentation Review: Ensure that all testing, development, and operational documentation meets high-quality standards. Provide feedback on gaps and inconsistencies.
Process Improvement: Work with the team to establish and refine QA processes, emphasizing efficiency and reliability in testing cycles.
Defect Tracking and Resolution: Document, prioritize, and track bugs using issue-tracking systems. Collaborate closely with developers to ensure swift resolution.
Performance and Reliability Testing: Conduct performance testing to ensure the application meets scalability and reliability requirements under various workloads.
Support Quality Standards: Advocate for high standards in coding, testing, and operational documentation throughout the development process.
Experience: 3+ years in Quality Assurance, with hands‑on experience testing desktop applications, preferably in a WPF environment.
Automation Skills: Proficiency with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or similar tools, with a focus on UI and functional test automation.
Documentation Expertise: A keen eye for detail and experience improving the quality of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and usability.
Process-Oriented: Familiarity with QA best practices, Agile workflows, and experience refining QA processes for better outcomes.
Technical Skills: Ability to write and maintain scripts in languages such as C# for test automation and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
