Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Test and Quality Assurance Engineer in Gaithersburg, MD, with a hybrid remote option permitting at least 50% onsite work. You will support the PRPS III project for IRS, performing end-to-end testing, creating scripts, and managing defects across legacy and modernized systems.

The role requires 7+ years in testing, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and eligibility for a background investigation. Strong collaboration with IRS developers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; 7+ years testing experience preferred.
• Experience in software data entry/capture testing.
• Client/server installations and testing experience.
• Test Plan/Case data creation and review.
• Experience verifying Pass/Fail via log files; provide status reports.
• Integration and system testing experience.
• Requirements verification traceability experience.
• Eligibility for MBI clearance; US citizen or green card for 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Perform test tasks on legacy IRS systems and modernized systems.
• Conduct end-to-end testing on paper scanning solutions for image/data capture.
• Create, maintain, and execute test scripts; manage test data.
• Create and manage defect reports; verify logs for pass/fail results.
• Provide status reports and document test results or defects.
• Utilize Rational Suite and Microsoft Office tools for testing activities.
