Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team supporting the IRS Enterprise System Testing program in Lanham, Maryland. You will lead testing across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid environments, guiding junior engineers and ensuring quality for mission-critical applications.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, UiPath, QTP/UFT) and proficiency with mainframe, client/server, and cloud testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or higher degrees with对应 years of experience.
• Experience in software testing across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid models.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor other Test Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional/integration testing across IBM mainframe, client/server or cloud environments.
• Identify test automation opportunities and develop automated test scripts.
• Use test tools to validate functional, technical and performance requirements.
• Construct test cases from government/contractor documentation with predetermined results.
• Review results and communicate issues to developers.
• Coordinate test activities with stakeholders.
• Assign and monitor testing work to ensure timely completion.
• Train others in automated testing tools.
• Lead testing initiatives with accountability and deep expertise.
