Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a skilled QA Tester to develop and execute test plans for system upgrades and new features. You will perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications, validate federal cybersecurity requirements, and ensure accessibility standards compliance in Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities include API testing, UI automation, and integrating tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines, with collaboration across cross-functional teams in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with functional and regression testing of Java-based web apps.
• Proficient in defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and accessibility standards.
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.
• Familiar with Windows Server environments.
• API testing with REST and Solr.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous documentation.
• Strong collaboration in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure accessibility standards compliance (Section 508/WCAG).
• Test enterprise applications in Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform API testing for backend services (Solr, REST).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect tracking systems and coordinate issue resolution.
• Test Tomcat deployments and configurations.
• Test Oracle 19c database integrations and data flows.
• Test SAP BI reporting interfaces and outputs.
