Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong UI testing expertise to ensure quality during modernization of a government information system. The candidate will perform functional and regression testing on Java-based web apps, validate accessibility and cross-browser compatibility, and work with Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.

The role requires experience with UI automation, manual testing methodologies, API testing, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).

Qualifications

• Experience in functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• UI testing and cross-browser validation.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and Section 508/WCAG.
• Experience testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.
• Experience with Windows Server environments.
• API testing (Solr, RESTful services).
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and meticulous documentation skills.
• Collaborative in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases for system upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java-based web applications.
• Conduct UI validation and cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Execute manual testing for complex scenarios.
• Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards.
• Test enterprise applications on Windows Server environments.
• Verify security controls and data protection measures.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Perform API testing for backend services (Solr, REST).
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage defect tracking and coordinate issue resolution.
• Test Tomcat deployments and Oracle 19c data flows.
• Test SAP BI reporting interfaces and outputs.
