Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong UI testing expertise to ensure quality during modernization of a government information system. The role emphasizes functional and regression testing of Java web apps, UI validation, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility across Tomcat, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI interfaces.

The ideal candidate will craft comprehensive test plans, develop UI automation, and verify federal cybersecurity and Section 508/WCAG

Qualifications

• Experience with functional and regression testing of Java web apps.
• UI validation, cross-browser testing, and accessibility conformance.
• Experience with defect tracking and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of federal cybersecurity and Section 508/WCAG standards.
• Testing Tomcat, Oracle 19c, SAP BI interfaces; Windows Server familiarity.
• API testing for RESTful services and Solr-based backends.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and cases for upgrades and new features.
• Perform functional and regression testing of Java web apps.
• Validate UI, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Execute manual testing and document results clearly.
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintain UI automation frameworks for regression testing.
• Test backend services via APIs and Solr integrations.
• Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate issue resolution with developers and security teams.
• Test Tomcat deployments, Oracle 19c data flows, and SAP BI interfaces.
