Movement is hiring an entry-level Software Quality Engineer in the United States (SC area). You will learn and apply modern quality practices across web apps, APIs, and integrated systems, building both manual and automated test coverage.

You will partner with engineers and product teams to validate features, identify issues early, and leverage AI tools to optimize testing workflows and product quality. This role emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning, with Agile ceremonies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Early in your career and eager to build a strong engineering foundation.
• Interest in AI-assisted software development and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply modern software quality engineering practices across web apps, APIs, and systems.
• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test coverage.
• Partner with engineers and product teams to validate features and find issues early.
• Leverage AI tools to improve testing workflows and software quality.
• Assist with API testing, test data creation, and environment validation.
• Investigate defects, troubleshoot, and drive resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborative problem solving.
• Experiment with new tools and approaches to improve effectiveness.
