Job summary

AGent is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to own testing and quality across our cloud backend, IoT device communication, and embedded firmware. You’ll design test strategies, build automated coverage, and partner with Cloud Backend, Application, and Embedded teams to ensure reliability across all layers.

You will work hands-on in end-to-end QA, contribute to test environments and CI/CD integration, and advocate for quality through proactive collaboration and AI-assisted testing approaches.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA engineering experience with ownership of end-to-end test strategy and execution.
• Hands-on experience testing cloud-based systems — AWS experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with IoT systems, device communication protocols, and embedded or firmware testing.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience with Claude AI or other AI tools in a professional context, or eagerness to integrate AI into QA workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain comprehensive test strategies covering cloud backend, IoT device communication, embedded firmware, and customer-facing apps.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites across platform components.
• Own test planning for new features and releases with engineering leads to ensure quality is built in from the start.
• Maintain clear documentation of test coverage, results, and known issues across the platform.
• Partner with Cloud Backend, Application, and Embedded teams throughout the lifecycle to catch issues early.
• Build automated regression coverage and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
