Job summary

Alchelyst in New York City seeks an experienced QA Engineer to ensure quality across our private markets solutions. You’ll drive manual and automated testing, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and help move testing earlier in delivery cycles.

You will design test coverage for case-management workflows, validate data processing with SQL, and build Playwright-based automation within CI/CD pipelines, supporting release readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Manual testing with structured test-case design and risk-based coverage.
• Experience with API, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple systems.
• Hands-on test automation with Playwright, Selenium, pytest, or similar.
• TypeScript and/or Python for test automation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and with Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, maintain, and execute test cases from user stories and specs.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT readiness testing across workstreams.
• Validate case-management journeys across roles, routes, and exceptions.
• Test access, permissions, data security, and auditability.
• API and service-layer testing using Postman and automation frameworks.
• Use SQL to verify data processing and cross-system consistency.
• Document and track defects in Jira; validate fixes with dev teams.
• Contribute to requirement walkthroughs, backlog refinement, and release readiness.
