Job summary

First Orion is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology, Data, and AI Engineering team in Little Rock. You will validate business processes, APIs, and data pipelines, ensuring AI-enabled applications support scam protection and branded communications.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, API testing, and automation using Selenium, JUnit, and REST Assured. Collaboration with product teams and stakeholders is essential to deliver robust, scalable quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent QA/engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on quality assurance experience.
• Curious, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies including AI/ML tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience writing test plans covering multiple products in one ecosystem.
• Experience testing APIs.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG.
• Strong understanding of DynamoDB/Databricks database testing.
• Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for web portals, APIs, dashboards, and middleware services.
• Test API endpoints used for telecommunication industry standards.
• Perform system, functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across complex ecosystems.
• Use Postman, Swagger, SIPp, and internal tools to simulate and analyze SIP traffic and signaling flows.
• Automate test cases using Selenium, REST Assured, or UI AI frameworks (AWS Nova, SageMaker, Bedrock).
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand features and implementations.
• Track, prioritize, and communicate defects clearly using Jira.
• Create and maintain test documentation including plans, cases, and bug reports.
• Support deployment readiness and participate in production release validation.
• Proactively improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
