Job summary

First Orion in North Little Rock, AR seeks an Associate Software Engineer to join the Technology, Data, and AI Engineering team. You will design APIs and validate data pipelines to enable secure, scalable data exchange with the middleware, in cloud or on-premises.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Java or Python, a CS degree or equivalent, Git proficiency, AWS experience, and SQL skills. You will work with Databricks and expand documentation while helping improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java or Python.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn emerging AI/ML tools.
• Full working knowledge of Git, and AWS experience.
• 1+ years of SQL experience and cloud computing familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop API endpoints for secure, scalable data exchange.
• Validate business workflows, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Work with Databricks as the primary data analytics platform.
• Deploy solutions in AWS and collaborate with cloud systems.
• Write tests and expand service and architecture documentation.
