Job summary

First Orion is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support our Technology, Data, and AI Engineering team. You will validate business process workflows, APIs, and data pipelines, ensuring accuracy of AI-enabled applications to aid scam protection and branded communications.

You will develop test plans for web portals, APIs, dashboards, and middleware, automate tests, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality releases. Join a fast-paced environment focused on resilient QA practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, information security, or equivalent QA/engineering experience.
• 2+ years hands-on QA experience.
• Curious, self-driven, eager to learn AI/ML tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience testing APIs.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG.
• Strong understanding of database testing (DynamoDB/Databricks).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for web portals, APIs, dashboards and middleware.
• Test API endpoints used for telecommunication industry standards.
• Perform system, functional, regression, integration and performance testing.
• Automate test cases using frameworks such as Selenium or REST Assured.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand features.
• Track, prioritize, and communicate defects using JIRA.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including plans, cases, and bug reports.
• Support deployment readiness and production release validation.
• Proactively improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
