Job summary

tap|QA is a fast-growing QA and testing services provider in the Twin Cities, seeking QA consultants with test automation and SQL experience. Candidates must be local or immediately available in the Twin Cities metro area and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of testing experience
• Familiarity with bug life cycle and defect tracking tools
• Experience in Agile environment preferred
• Experience in mobile testing preferred
• Proficiency with Mac OS X and/or Windows
• Knowledge of testing tools such as Jira, QC or Test Complete preferred

Responsibilities

• Extensively use issue/bug/defect tracking and QA testing software (Jira)
• Provide timely and detailed testing feedback to project teams
• Meet testing deadlines while adapting to flexible production schedules
• Create, analyze, and execute testing strategy and requirements with technical leads
• Perform problem solving and root cause analysis for functionality challenges
• Support and provide input to evolve QA processes, procedures, and standards
• Design and execute test cases
• Create and execute manual regression tests using established guidelines and risks
• Identify, enter and trace defects encountered during testing
• Work closely with developers to ensure quick defect resolution
• Respond quickly to release or client issues and address challenges with leads
• Look for opportunities to improve quality and productivity of test deliverables
• Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts; design data strategies for functional and non-functional tests
