Job summary

Healthcare Alternative Systems (HAS) seeks a QA Compliance and Education professional to lead staff training on the primary EHR system (CareLogic) and to manage QA documentation and audits across eleven Chicagoland locations.

You will drive ongoing education, track compliance, and support program oversight with KPI reporting and dashboards for leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, education or a related field preferred; relevant experience in compliance, data management, or healthcare is welcome.
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial EHR training on CareLogic, including navigation/workflow and proper documentation.
  • Deliver refresher trainings when procedures are not followed or QA audits identify weaknesses.
  • Train and deploy new system functionality to staff as applicable.
  • Enter, maintain, and monitor compliance data across systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Organize and maintain QA documentation, training records, survey responses, and audit files.
  • Track program deliverables and compliance requirements to meet timelines.
  • Maintain and update program plans reflecting latest information and requirements.
  • Support training curriculum development, CEU tracking, and onboarding coordination.
  • Contribute to QA projects and generate regular KPI reports for leadership.

With eleven locations across the Chicagoland area, HAS provides services and resources to individuals at every stage in their behavioral/recovery journey so that they can be successful and become contributing members of their communities.JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Quality Assurance Director, the QA Compliance and Education role is ideal for candidates looking to grow their career in Quality Assurance. This unique role will emphasize both training and education of staff in the proper utilization of the Agency electronic health record systems to meet QA standards within the behavioral health field. We are committed to training and supporting the right candidate in mastering training, compliance, and quality standards essential to our mission. The QA Compliance and Education staff will provide vital support in managing program deliverables, tracking compliance tasks, and ensuring timely documentation, program oversight and clinical compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES*Must be able to travel to and drive between locations.Initial EHR Training – Provide all new employees training on our primary Electronic Health Records system (CareLogic) to include navigation/workflow and proper usage of the system to complete required documentation of the required programs.Ongoing Education – The staff member will be responsible for providing refresher trainings to staff when it has been identified that current procedures are not followed or when QA audit findings identify weaknesses in programs.Initiating new EHR Functions – When applicable, this role will be charged with the training and deployment of new system functionality to line staff.Data Management – Accurately enter, maintain, and monitor compliance data across various systems, ensuring data integrity and readiness for reports and audits.Documentation & Record-Keeping – Organize and maintain QA documentation, including training records, participant satisfaction survey responses, and audit preparation files.Program Deliverables Tracking – Assist the QA team by tracking deliverables and compliance requirements for each program director and program, helping ensure timelines are met and reports are updated as needed.Program Plan Upkeep – Maintain and update program plans, ensuring they remain compliant and reflect the latest program information and requirements.Training & Compliance Documentation – Support the tracking, organization, and documentation of all training and compliance-related activities, including maintaining attendance records, managing training schedules, develop training curriculum when requested, CEU’s record keeping, assist with new training initiatives when requested (including managing the systems/tracking/reporting), updating training materials, and ensuring that all required documentation is completed and stored according to compliance standards.Training Initiatives & Development – Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps across programs and sites; design, develop, and update training curricula and materials to address identified needs. Coordinate and maintain a proactive training calendar across all eleven H.A.S. locations to ensure consistent, standardized training delivery. Evaluate training effectiveness through post-training assessments and competency checks and support onboarding and orientation training coordination for new hires. Ensure staff receive timely training in response to new regulations, funder requirements, or policy changes to maintain ongoing compliance.Audit Assistance – Prepare and compile data for internal and external audits, assisting with quality checks and report generation as needed.Metrics Tracking & Reporting – Develop, maintain, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance metrics across programs. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate trends, gaps, and outcomes to the QA Director and program leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making and continuous quality improvement.Performance Dashboard Management – Maintain up-to-date visual reporting tools and dashboards that reflect real-time compliance and training data, ensuring leadership has accurate and accessible information for program oversight and strategic planning.Special Projects – Contribute to additional QA projects and tasks as assigned, supporting ongoing quality improvement across HAS programs.Additional Duties – Perform other tasks as needed, as assigned by the QA Director and or VP or CEO to support departmental goals.REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills required.Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.CADC credential is a plus but not required.Ability to travel between sites for training of staff.Personal Attributes: Motivated, reliable, and eager to grow within the organization; willing to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly (especially with technology), and work independently with guidance from the QA team.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, education or a related field preferred; relevant experience in compliance, data management, or healthcare is welcome.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSedentary work.
