Job summary

The Maxis Group seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer / Lead to drive automation-first testing across five Scrum teams, balancing hands-on testing with strategic coordination. Expect ~20 hours/week of hands-on work to enable cross-team quality initiatives, code reviews, and framework support.

Lead Playwright/TypeScript automation, test in AWS Lambda environments, and apply performance testing with JMeter within CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust software quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 2+ years in a senior/lead/SME role.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Proven experience testing within AWS environments (specifically AWS Lambda).
• Experience managing test plans, test cases, and workflows using Azure DevOps in Agile Scrum and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter.

Responsibilities

• Champion the transition toward an automation-first testing mindset and establish QA processes, testing standards, and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain, scale, and optimize existing automated test frameworks built on Playwright and TypeScript across web applications and Windows services.
• Serve as the primary technical contact and SME to support QA members across all five engineering teams.
• Oversee and execute testing within AWS environments, focusing on AWS Lambda-based applications and services.
• Lead performance and load testing initiatives using JMeter.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and Scrum teams to track defects and report quality findings to management.
