Job summary

The MAXIS Group in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer / Lead to drive automation‑first testing and quality across core products. You will balance hands‑on automation with strategic coordination across five Scrum teams, acting as SME and cross‑team QA anchor.

Role requires strong Playwright/TypeScript expertise, deep AWS Lambda testing experience, and leadership in CI/CD QA processes. Hybrid in‑office work 2–3 days per week; relocation considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years in software quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience creating automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Proven experience testing in AWS environments, specifically AWS Lambdas, and in Windows environments/services.
• 5+ years of experience managing test plans, test cases, and workflows using Azure DevOps within Agile Scrum/CI‑CD.
• Experience with performance testing using JMeter.

Responsibilities

• Champion transition to automation‑first testing mindset and establish QA processes and quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain, scale, and optimize Playwright/TypeScript based test frameworks across web apps and Windows services.
• Act as primary technical contact and SME for QA across five engineering teams.
• Oversee testing in AWS environments (AWS Lambdas) and validate Lambda-based applications.
• Lead performance and load testing initiatives using JMeter.
• Collaborate with Product/Development/Scrum to track defects and present quality findings.
