Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated test scripts, focusing on UI automation with Playwright. You will lead automation initiatives, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and mentor team members across AWS-based workloads.

The role requires strong manual and automated testing skills, proficiency with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript), API testing, and experience in an Agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of QA or testing experience in enterprise systems.
• Experience with AWS-based workloads.
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing including defect documentation, reproduction, regression testing, and validation.
• Proficiency developing test automation using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript, plus API testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts across multiple user roles and workflows.
• Design and implement UI automation using Playwright, ensuring reliable, maintainable coverage.
• Lead test automation initiatives, including CI/CD and DevSecOps integration.
• Conduct peer reviews of test automation code to promote quality and consistency.
• Communicate test results, defects, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders during each release cycle.
• Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment to support iterative releases.
