Innova Solutions is seeking an intermediate QA Automation engineer for a contract-to-hire role in Chicago, IL. You will work with Java or Python, and leverage Playwright and JMeter to build robust automated tests, with a focus on performance where applicable.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of QA automation experience, strong Agile understanding, and familiarity with CI/CD, TDD, and cloud development. The hiring process includes a coding session as part of the interview.

We're Looking for a QA Automation - Intermediate - Chicago, IL

Position type: Contract to Hire Duration: 6+ Months

Job Responsibilities

• Need to be good with Java or Python coding
• They are using Playright and Jmeter - Must have
• Performance load testing is preferred
• AWS is a plus
• 2-5 years experience
• 2 hour zoom interview - 1 round then decision - Coding session
• Proficient in QA Automation application development skills as well as multiple design techniques
• Working proficiency in QA Automation development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks
• Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
• Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software
• Skilled test automation engineer with experience building and supporting test automation using selenium, playwright, jmeter tools. Candidate should have experience in running end to end tests and performance based tests.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $ 40/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
