Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring a QA Automation Engineer in the United States to design scalable automated test frameworks using Tosca and Playwright. You will analyze P&C insurance requirements, translate them into test strategies, and execute diverse testing across web and backend systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive test automation within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high-quality software deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of software testing experience, preferably in the P&C insurance domain.
• 3–5 years of test automation experience.
• Proficiency with Tosca and Playwright as core automation tools.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL for backend/database testing.
• API testing experience with Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong Agile QA, test planning, and defect management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks using Tosca and other tools.
• Analyze business and functional requirements related to P&C insurance systems.
• Translate requirements into automated test strategies and plans.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and accessibility testing across web and backend systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure test coverage and quality.
• Execute automated test cases, log defects, and track them to closure using Azure DevOps.
• Develop automated tests for APIs, UI, and backend systems.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review their test scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across QA teams.
