Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for P&C insurance systems. You will lead testing efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

The role emphasizes Tosca-based frameworks, API/UI testing, and CI/CD integration, with hybrid in-office/remote work as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the P&C insurance domain.
• 3-5 years of experience in test automation.
• Proficiency in Tricentis Tosca, Playwright; knowledge of Selenium/Cypress is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL for backend testing.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong Agile QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks (Tricentis Tosca and other tools).
• Translate requirements into automated test strategies and plans.
• Perform functional, regression, API, and accessibility testing across web and backend systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure coverage.
• Execute automated tests, log defects, and track to closure using Azure DevOps.
• Develop automated tests for APIs, UI, and backend systems.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and review their scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain test documentation and share knowledge across QA teams.
