Veltris is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 6–12 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium. The ideal candidate will have strong Java and JavaScript skills and a proven track record of building automation frameworks from scratch, delivering robust test coverage.

You will collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and participate in agile ceremonies

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with 612 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright, Selenium, Java, and JavaScript, with a passion for delivering high-quality software through comprehensive test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java and JavaScript.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Automate Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, and End-to-End test suites.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Identify, track, troubleshoot, and report defects with detailed analysis.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, coding best practices, and automation guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

• 612 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for modern web application automation.
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
• Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of TestNG, JUnit, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience working with Git, Maven/Gradle, and version control systems.
• Familiarity with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
