Job summary

Sprezzatura is seeking a Test Engineer to support a VA program, designing, developing, and executing test cases and automated scripts to ensure quality and performance of mission-critical applications.

The role collaborates with developers, QA leads, and VA stakeholders, performing manual and automated testing, API and SQL validation, and ensuring compliance with VA and federal standards in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in software testing with test automation knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing, API testing, and backend testing.
• Experience with SQL database testing and data validation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience testing in secure, regulated, or federal environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced federal environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases and automated scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing across functional, integration, API, and performance areas.
• Conduct backend API testing and data validation using SQL tools.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, Tosca, or similar.
• Collaborate with developers and VA stakeholders to validate requirements and report defects.
• Analyze test results and track defects through established systems (e.g., JIRA).
