Job summary

Pioneering Evolution in Arlington, VA is seeking a Software QA Engineer to uphold software quality through automated and manual testing. You will design test strategies, develop automated front-end tests, and work with analysts, developers, and leadership to ensure clear, testable requirements and end-to-end coverage.

The role requires building robust regression suites, identifying defects early, and supporting release readiness in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of software quality assurance experience, including manual and automated testing.
• Experience partnering with Business Analysts and development teams to ensure testable requirements.
• Experience developing test strategies, plans, and cases for new features and regression.
• Proficiency with test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience building automated UI tests for functional and regression testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop feature-level test strategies and plans; create and execute tests.
• Maintain automated front-end test suites to verify new and existing functionality.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects; validate fixes with developers.
• Collaborate across Business Analysis, engineering, and leadership for quality.
• Support sprint execution and release readiness with quality insights.
