Job summary

Sharp Decisions is seeking an experienced QA/Test Lead to drive manual and automated testing across banking/financial services projects. You will develop test plans, author test scripts, and ensure traceability of requirements while collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

The role requires strong SQL data analysis skills, experience with JIRA, and familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum. Hybrid work arrangement supported in Charlotte, NC and nearby locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software testing, QA, or business systems analysis in financial services.
• Experience with test management tools (JIRA); Confluence a plus.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Strong data analysis and SQL querying skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance phases.
• Document defects clearly and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Ensure traceability of requirements and maintain test documentation. Participate in Agile Scrum calls with the CyberDW team and provide feedback on system usability and stability. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage the documentation and deliverables required for each project testing and automation.

Skills:

• 7-10 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or business systems analysis. Financial services and banking background preferred.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of and experience in the use of test management tools, i.e., JIRA. Additional experience in use of Confluence would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile or Scrum frameworks. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and documentation skills.
• Must be able to scrub and analyze data. Strong experience writing SQL queries, familiarity with joins, CTEs, looking for data outliers, etc.
