Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking an experienced QA Analyst/QA Engineer in Charlotte, NC for a 6‑month contract. The role is hybrid (4 days onsite per week) and involves hands-on QA across data validation, API testing, UI testing, and test automation within an Agile team.

You’ll work across SQL, API, and UI testing, build and maintain automated test scripts, and collaborate to integrate testing with CI/CD pipelines. Strong SQL and API experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on QA/testing experience.
• Strong SQL skills including joins and complex queries.
• 3+ years of API testing experience.
• Experience with API authentication, payloads, and response validation.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Understanding of test automation frameworks.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience with test management and/or automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Selenium, Appium, UFT, TestProject, Quality Center, or similar tools.
• Experience with ETL/data integration testing preferred.
• Ability to follow established testing standards and documentation.

We’re looking for an experienced QA Analyst / QA Engineer to join a fast-paced technology team supporting multiple applications and Agile sprints.

This is a hands-on QA role combining SQL/data validation, API testing, manual testing, and test automation. You’ll work across different types of user stories and applications, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable shifting between data, API, and UI testing and can work independently without a lot of hand-holding.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with source-to-target or ETL/data integration testing is strongly preferred
• Ability to follow established testing standards and documentation while working independently

The Environment

This team moves quickly and supports multiple applications at the same time. You may be working on SQL/data validation for one story, API testing for another, and UI testing for another within the same sprint.
