Job summary

rapportintl is seeking qualified interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for local Nebraska clients. This is an independent contractor role with flexible hours and PRN scheduling, requiring transportation to attend appointments locally.

We are specifically seeking Q'anjob'al interpreters in the Omaha area, with a preference for candidates with medical terminology experience and HIPAA confidentiality knowledge. Vaccination proof may be requested as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual in English and at least one other language.
• Excellent communication and listening skills essential.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance.
• In-person interpreters only; must have transportation to attend appointments locally.
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers).
• Must have access to a printer.
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred.
• Background checks and drug screens required.
• Schedule is PRN, part-time or less depending on languages; some availability Mon-Fri 7AM-5PM.

Requirements:

• Fully bilingual

• We are looking for IN PERSON interpreters only, you must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
