Job summary

Woodbridge is seeking a detail-oriented inspector in Greensboro, NC to operate the Inspection A-frame machine and conduct on-floor audits of finished goods. You will verify that products meet customer requirements, read and follow instructions, and record data with basic Excel skills.

Qualifications

• At least a high school degree or equivalent; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with computer skills to enter data and print needed paperwork.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and follow quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Inspection A-frame machine or perform on-floor audits of finished goods.
• Ensure finished goods are received in accordance with customer requirements.
• Follow safety regulations and use required safety equipment.
• Read and interpret production orders and specs.
• Record data accurately and maintain 5S practices.
• Interface with other departments as needed and communicate findings.
• Possess basic Excel skills for data entry and reporting.
• Perform overtime as needed and cross-train in other positions.

Position Summa Ry

This position may be assigned to operate the Inspection A-frame machine or perform on-floor audits of finished goods coming off from peelers. This position is responsible for finished goods being received by the customer.

Essential Functions

• Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required. See JSA & PDA for this position for details safety instructions.
• Understand ISO 9001 requirements / Olympic Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through Olympic Quality Policy.
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Must read and interpret specifications, production orders
• This position will frequently be required to work daily and/or weekend overtime
• Ability to interface with other departments
• Ability to operate test equipment (ruler, dial thickness gage) proficiently
• In some cases, physical capacity, such as strength and good eyesight may be required
• Ability to properly record data
• Basic knowledge of equipment, materials, products, processes
• Ability to communicate finding to others
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel in basic areas
• Keep area neat, organized and clean as well as follow 5S principles as they are appropriate
• Cross train in other positions as required
• Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor
