Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to develop and enhance a real-time financial platform. You will build new applications and features, improve existing software, and collaborate with Product, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver quality code on time.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Java development, Python scripting, and experience with cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable software supporting real-time payment processing.
• Write clean, maintainable Java code that complies with client quality standards and secure coding practices.
• Develop software components leveraging enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
• Develop Python scripts and programs for data automation, analysis, and integration services.
• Develop and maintain services, APIs, application components, and automated test frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and engineering design activities.
• Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in the modernization of existing applications and migration toward cloud‑native platforms.
• Build applications on AWS cloud platforms utilizing Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform.
• Work with containerized applications and Kubernetes‑based environments for component‑based releases.
• Contribute to microservices architectures and distributed systems initiatives.
• Support highly available and highly reliable systems designed for financial transaction processing.
• Apply CI/CD practices for automated building, testing, and deployment of high‑quality software.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Java software development experience, including analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation, and testing of software systems.
• Experience developing Python scripts and programs for data management, automation, and analysis.
• Exposure to AWS or another major public cloud provider.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native application architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated software build and deployment processes.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $142000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
