Job summary

Rose International is recruiting a Python Software Developer - Imaging & Automation for Greenhouse Operations. This onsite, full-time, temporary contract in Marana, AZ spans about 13 months with an hourly rate of $65–$75.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years in Python software development, image processing, and ML/vision frameworks (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Frontend experience with Vue or React and Docker, Git, and Linux are required. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python development skills, particularly for image processing and analysis.
• Experience with computer vision and machine learning frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, YOLO, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
• Frontend development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React)
• Linux environment experience
• Experience interfacing with I/O devices for automation or machine control
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy image analysis solutions to support greenhouse production workflows
• Apply classical computer vision and deep learning techniques to extract meaningful data from images
• Integrate imaging systems with automation and control systems (e.g., sensors, actuators, machine interfaces)
• Design and maintain pipelines to transmit image data and derived insights across enterprise networks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, infrastructure, and operations
