Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Python Developer to join our software engineering team supporting Navy tactical communication solutions in the Charleston, SC area.

You will develop and maintain software on Linux servers, automate tasks with Bash, and work with Docker/Podman and Git in a collaborative DoD environment. The ideal candidate has strong Python skills, Linux administration experience, and a security mindset with DoD clearance capability.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• DoD Secret clearance eligibility and IAT II certification.
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Experience with Bash scripting and Linux automation.
• Familiarity with layer 2/3 networking and switch/router tech.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a DoD setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Work with Docker/Podman container technologies.
• Instantiate and administer Red Hat VMs (KVM).
• Automate tasks using Bash scripting.
• Develop applications using Python.
• Research and resolve software bugs.
• Maintain source code in Git repositories.
• Conduct testbed demos and proofs of concept for leadership.
• Assist SMEs with ECR requirements and software documentation.
