Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. seeks a Linux Sustainment Engineer to support Navy tactical communications systems. You will define, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware infrastructure on Linux servers, and contribute to network device management and DoD compliance.

The role requires a strong Linux background, scripting, and software development experience, with travel up to 10% to support DoD projects across Navy systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman).
• Develop software applications in Python (Python preferred; Java or C# experience considered).
• Automate maintenance tasks using shell scripting (Bash).
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git).
• Assist in management of network devices, including configuration of layer 2 & 3 switches and routers.
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation.
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality.
• Ensure compliance with DoD guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance.
