Job summary

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers, seeks a Python Developer to join our software engineering team in the Charleston, SC area. You will develop and maintain software and infrastructure on Linux servers, using Python, Bash, and container technologies, while collaborating with Navy client teams.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux development experience, networking familiarity, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and DoD IAT II certification.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience.
• CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
• Work with container technologies (Docker/Podman).
• Instantiate and administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM).
• Automate tasks using shell scripting (Bash).
• Develop applications using Python.
• Research and resolve software bugs.
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git).
• Perform testbed demos and proofs of concept to leadership.
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change request (ECR) requirements and software documentation.
