Job summary

Peregrine Advisors in the Washington, DC area seeks a Software Engineer to build Python applications on AWS and deliver cloud-based solutions for government programs. You will integrate external and internal systems, create data pipelines, and own production code.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of software development, a Bachelor's degree, and strong AWS, DB, and Agile experience. This is a hybrid, full-time role with citizenship and security considerations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Familiarity with AWS, including AWS Lambda and S3
• Ability to turn a defined specification into working, tested code and own it through production
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience delivering within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, using Jira
• Excellent communication skills translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
