About The Role

Jobrapido is seeking a Full-stack Python Developer for a 12-month remote engagement. In this Software Engineer role, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions. You will work across backend and frontend applications, APIs, data platforms, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines, using Python and a range of cloud and open-source technologies.

The role has a particular focus on AWS services and serverless initiatives. You will build and improve features and engineering workflows, investigate complex technical challenges, and help ensure solutions are maintainable, dependable, and responsive to user needs. You will be expected to work independently on well-defined domains, apply sound engineering judgment to moderately complex work, and share your knowledge with teammates. Clear, proactive communication with technical, product, vendor, and enterprise stakeholders is an important part of the position.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will bring strong hands-on experience with Python and full-stack software development, including API design and development. You should be comfortable working with SQL and relational databases, as well as understanding NoSQL data stores and distributed systems. Experience with Apache Spark, AWS services, and job orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions or Airflow is valuable, particularly when building or supporting cloud-based and serverless solutions.

You should understand modern application architecture and design patterns and know how to select and apply them in moderately complex domains. The role calls for practical experience with containers, open-source technologies, automated builds, and deployment pipelines. You will also need strong debugging skills across application layers and environments, from local development through production. Effective communication, collaborative problem-solving, initiative, and the ability to explain technical concepts to others are essential.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Agile colleagues to design, implement, test, deploy, and support software features and technical solutions. Develop and maintain full-stack functionality, APIs, data workflows, and integrations, with attention to both user experience and appropriate non-functional requirements, including reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Build a comprehensive local development, build, and deployment pipeline, and identify opportunities to improve existing pipelines. Troubleshoot difficult build and deployment issues, and work across backend, frontend, middleware, infrastructure, databases, and distributed systems to diagnose moderately complex problems. Identify root causes, implement fixes, and correct affected data where needed.

Apply established engineering standards and practices while working independently on clearly defined tasks and contributing to more complex software. Use architecture and design patterns appropriately, and teach colleagues how and when to apply them. Communicate progress, risks, and technical findings proactively with stakeholders across technology, product, vendor, and enterprise teams.
