Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Newark, Delaware seeks an experienced Middleware Engineer with strong Java and shell scripting skills and cloud experience to deliver scalable integration solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of UNIX/Linux and Java development experience.
• Strong SQL experience with DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server.
• Cloud experience with OpenShift preferred.
• Java/J2EE and OOD expertise.
• Strong Spring experience; Spring Batch or Spring Integration a plus.
• At least one ORM: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, or JPA.
• SOA, REST/SOAP, CXF, JAXWS/JAXRS, JSON, XML knowledge.
• Maven, TDD and CI, JUnit, Mockito proficiency.
• IDE: Eclipse, RAD or similar.
• SPA front-end development; JS/HTML/CSS/Ajax basics.
• Version control: Bitbucket, GitHub, SVN.
• Agile/Iterative development and full SDLC.
• Stored Procedures, NDMs, AutoSys; Hadoop, Kafka, MQ familiarity.
• This role targets a detail-oriented middleware developer with Java and shell scripting skills and cloud experience.

Responsibilities

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Primary Skill: Core Java
• Secondary: Cloud, Oracle SQL/PL sql and Unix
• Experience: 10+ years

Roles & Responsibilities

• UNIX/LINUX experience, well-versed with commands as part of Shell Scripting
• Strong SQL experience with DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server
• Cloud experience is a must (OpenShift preferred)
• Proven experience in JAVA/J2EE and Object-Oriented Design and Programming
• Strong Spring experience (Spring Batch or Spring Integration a plus)
• At least one ORM/Persistence Framework: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, JPA
• SOA, REST/SOAP Web Services, CXF, JAXWS/JAXRS, JSON, XML
• Maven, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI), JUnit, Mockito

Requirements

• Java skills are needed but should not be the entire resume focus; must have other strong technical skills too (such as Linux/Unix experience, strong SQL)
• Requirements include 7-10 years of experience (preferably in the financial industry)
