An early-stage, woman-owned startup in Detroit seeks 1-2 contract developers to finalize their MVP of an AI-powered automation tool. You'll work with Python and AWS, influencing the direction of a novel platform while enjoying flexible hours and competitive compensation.
I’m currently partnering with an early-stage, woman-owned startup that’s building AI-powered automation tools for business intelligence. They’re backed by respected regional accelerators and are tackling some really exciting problems in underserved markets.
Right now, they’re looking to bring on 1-2 contract developers to help finalize and deploy the MVP of their first product-an intelligent automation tool already in early testing.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Building out the Python-based back end
Working across AWS infrastructure (Lambda, EC2, S3, SES, etc.)
Integrating third-party APIs and data services
Prototyping rapidly alongside the technical founder (CTO)
Having real influence on the direction of a novel AI platform
What they’re looking for:
Strong Python skills and experience building production systems
Solid experience with AWS services
Familiarity with API integration and async workflows
Someone who’s proactive, hands-on, and thrives in fast-moving environments
Nice to have (but not required):
Experience working with LLMs or intelligent agents (e.g., OpenAI API)
Knowledge of email automation, secure messaging, or data workflows
An interest in long-term product vision or stepping into a leadership role
Why this gig is worth your time:
Flexible hours and remote-friendly
Competitive hourly or project-based compensation
Direct access to a brilliant and mission-driven founding team
Chance to shape a product from the ground up
If you’re a Python/AWS developer ready to make an impact at the ground level of an innovative AI startup, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s chat!
