Job summary

Pouring With Heart in Denver, CO is seeking a Barback to support our bartenders, keep the bar stocked, organized, and ready for service, and maintain a clean, efficient workspace through busy shifts. This role is fast-paced and physically demanding, yet foundational for growth within the company.

You will learn cocktail ingredients, spirits, service techniques, and foster hospitality excellence while collaborating with floor staff and bar leadership to ensure smooth operations and guest

Qualifications

• Previous barback or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic, organization, and the ability to move with urgency
• Comfortable with fast-paced, physically demanding environments
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
• Passion for hospitality, curiosity to learn, and commitment to growth
• Must be 21+ and have valid certifications for responsible beverage service (varies by state)

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders by keeping the bar stocked, organized, and spotless throughout every shift
• Anticipate and fulfill restocking needs for spirits, beer, juice, syrups, garnishes, and glassware
• Maintain ice bins and bar tools to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with prep tasks such as juicing, cutting garnishes, and batching syrups
• Help with breakdown, cleaning, and resetting the bar after service
• Learn cocktail ingredients, spirits, and service techniques to build a foundation for growth
• Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards, including responsible alcohol service
• Work as a team player, supporting floor staff, bartenders, and bar leadership where needed

The Role…

As a Barback, you are the backbone of the bar, ensuring bartenders can deliver exceptional service by keeping everything stocked, organized, and ready. This role is fast-paced and physically demanding, but it is also the foundation for building knowledge and skills to grow within the company.

Main Duties, but are not limited to…

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds
• Fast-paced movements and mobility required to cover bar and floor space efficiently
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as part of daily bar operations
