Job summary

Avari Management is seeking a dependable housekeeping professional to clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties. You will perform cleaning tasks to company standards, assist with laundry, and report damages, while traveling between worksites as needed and attending mandatory meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is preferred but not required.
• Prior housekeeping experience is a bonus but not required - we can train!
• Tech-savvy with experience using digital systems and applications; comfortable with mobile apps and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain vacation rental properties to company standards.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, wash surfaces; move furniture for cleaning.
• Assist with laundry and linen; identify damages or needed repairs.

Job description

Core Responsibilities

• Professionally clean and maintain a portfolio of vacation rental properties using cleaning procedures and products that conform to company standards.
• Sweeping, vacuum, mop, dust, and washing all surfaces.
• Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind.
• Assist with laundry and linen as needed.
• Identify and note any damage or needed repairs to homes.
• Collect and remove trash and debris.
• Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings.
• Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products.
• Maintain hot tubs as needed; no experience necessary - we offer on-site training.

Skills + Qualifications

• Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is preferred but not required

• Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
• This role involves frequent travel between worksites, so reliable personal transportation is essential.

Compensation:

• Piece rate (ranging between $36 and $225 per unit; average of $81 per unit)
• $18-20 / hour for paid training, required meetings, and non-post reservation cleans.

Workplace Environment + Physical Requirements

• Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of settings including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities — often in varying weather conditions.
• We’re in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Regular travel within the locally assigned market and/or region market dependent.
• Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
