Job summary

Ford is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to join the Dearborn Truck Plant quality team. You will lead electrical/electronic hardware quality initiatives on the F-150 line, coordinating with software and plant partners to drive end-to-end quality across modules.

You will drive interim containment and permanent corrective actions, analyze warranty data, and document improvements in SIMPSN/QAI systems, while supporting plant trials and launch activities with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; STEM field preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong communication skills essential.
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve day-to-day efficiency is desired.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and teamwork across functions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software PVT Engineer to ensure hardware/software quality across modules.
• Prioritize containment actions and permanent corrective actions to address warranty concerns.
• Lead resolution of customer critical issues and reduce warranty impact.
• Analyze warranty claims and classify data for action tracking in SIMPSN/Quality AI.
• Develop and manage quality improvement projects to meet vehicle line objectives.
• Communicate needs to QAs, VFGs, and plant leaders during reviews and trials.
• Support launch activities and participate in daily/biweekly quality governance meetings.
• Assist with vehicle triage using DET and Ford Diagnosis and Repair System.
