Job summary

Kennametal Stellite Inc. in Orwell, OH, is hiring for a PVD Furnace Operator on a 12-hour night shift. You will operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts, loading/unloading fixtures, and monitoring the coating process to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• 2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload fixtures with product into furnaces.
• Enter product weights and coating cycle information and other data into computer as required.
• Start and monitor the coating process.
• Properly clean fixtures and base plates between heats.
• Replace gas tanks as needed.
• Ensure targets and melts are adequate to run the process being loaded.
• Perform test on standards to ensure coating thickness and adhesion are within specifications.
• Keep area and equipment clean.
