Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Wichita Falls, TX, is seeking a Process Engineer to lead plant output optimization and process control improvements.

You will develop engineering procedures, analyze data on scrap and downtime, support capital projects, and partner with plant leadership to reduce variability and costs. The role requires a hands‑on, results‑driven engineer with PVC extrusion experience, proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma, DOE, and data analysis, plus strong communication.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering with 3–10 years in manufacturing.
• Experience in high-volume, continuous manufacturing.
• PVC processing and extrusion experience highly desired.
• Fundamental understanding of OT networks, industrial controls and automation.
• Process/Manufacturing Engineering or CI skills and expertise.
• Results-oriented problem solver with analytical approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Six Sigma green/black belt and DOE knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct technical activities to solve problems in the facility.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and training for new products/systems.
• Analyze scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage; generate reports.
• Reduce process variation to ensure product quality and standards compliance.
• Drive cost reduction through materials, product, and process improvements.
• Lead improvement initiatives with Lean/Six Sigma tools and DOEs.
• Update manufacturing standards based on performance gains.
• Design work cell layouts to optimize material flow and 5S/visual management.
