Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings seeks a Process Engineer to drive plant output optimization, downtime and scrap reduction, and advanced process control. You will develop procedures, support capital projects, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a hands-on, on-site role.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering with 3–10 years of manufacturing experience; Six Sigma and DOE knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Science Engineering is required with 3–10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and knowledge of DOE are preferred.
• Experience with high-volume, continuous manufacturing and PVC processing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations by directing technical activities to solve plant issues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs/SOC for new products and systems.
• Analyze scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage to guide decisions.
• Reduce process variation to ensure product quality and compliance with standards.
• Lead cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives (WCI/PIP).
• Contribute to equipment/technology selection, RFQ scope, and implementation plans.
