Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings, a Westlake division, is seeking a Process Engineer to lead plant output optimization, downtime and scrap reduction, and process control at the Greensboro, GA facility. You will support capital projects, develop engineering procedures, and provide data-driven guidance to the leadership team.

The role requires a B.S. in a related engineering field and 3–10 years in high-volume manufacturing, with PVC processing experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Science Engineering; 3–10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with high-volume, continuous manufacturing.
• PVC processing and extrusion experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of OT networks, industrial controls and automation.
• Six Sigma green/black belt and DOE knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday, 6:30am–4pm; on-site in Greensboro, GA.
• Must be able to commute daily to Greensboro, GA plant and travel 1–4 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical activities to solve problems encountered in the facility.
• Develop & maintain process guidelines (SOP/SOC) and training for new products and systems.
• Analyze scrap, downtime, line rates, and material usage; prepare charts and reports for data-driven decisions.
• Reduce process variation to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to standards.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives through materials, product, and process improvements.
• Utilize continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, 5S/6S, DOE, and DOEs.
