Job summary

Atkore in Louisville, KY is seeking a Machine Day Shift Operator I for the PVC extrusion line (8:00am-8:00pm). You will run all aspects of the extrusion process to meet specifications and operate automated controls and printing systems.

This role requires steady attention to detail, basic math, ability to lift 50 lb, and willingness to learn Atkore’s extrusion procedures. On-site position with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Run all aspects of the PVC extrusion lines to meet specs.
• Master computerized extrusion, control, and printing systems.
• Test and measure product to ensure specification conformance.
• Inspect print quality, wall, OD, length, appearance, and bell fit.
• Identify and report quality issues.
• Complete Quality Control forms accurately.
• Monitor pipe physicals.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair red tag products within 3 months.
• Confirm product with schedule.
• Complete operator paperwork (operator sheets, regrind log, forklift check sheet).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths.
• Process regrind.
